Today, my girl turns 4. Happy birthday girl!

Although it is your birthday, can I please make a wish? PLEASE quickly get over your 'picky eating' stage pretty please? Otherwise all my hair will turn white very soon!!!!! Thank you.

Zac's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Zac's 1 year old with 2 small parties with only close family. The 1st party was a couple of days prior to his actual birthday at Paya Serai, PJ Hilton. We then celebrated his actual day with a cake, just the 4 of us.

Popo's 60th Birthday

October is a month full of birthday celebrations (and money flowing out hahaha). Popo turned 60 on 20th October but because it was a weekday, we celebrated her birthday on 16th October.

As turning 60 seems a big deal for the Chinese (not sure why), we had a big celebration for her at Sin Coi Wah restaurant in Bdr Sri Damansara. Food was great.

The entire family turned up for the party and we all had a great time.

Birthday parties provides a great opportunity for the entire family to meet and catch up.

Papa's birthday was just a few days after mine. This time we celebrated it at a karaoke. Hayley's and Zac's first visit to a karaoke :)

This is rather late but better late than never :). I had a great time on my birthday and here are some photos to share :)

My big day

Today is my big day. So what should I do today?

I took off from work. Woke up at the same time in the morning to get the kids ready. Sent the big one to school and then the little one to babysitter. When I got home my 'maid mode' automatically got turned on and I cleaned the house (upstairs and downstairs) including the toilets. So what's next? Birthday is like that one ah? Take leave and turn myself into a maid???? haiz...

But something good did happen this morning. My girl woke up and sang me a birthday song (she said she must sing to me by herself and so she did) and received my 'surprised' birthday gift from papa. I said surprised because usually I pick my own present and he will pay for it but this time he bought it and left it on the table along with a bouquet of flowers! I think this is the first birthday surprise I've received from him since we started dating 10+ years ago hehehehe

OK, I need to leave my computer and enjoy the rest of my 'big day'. Although I am not sure what we're going to do next.... need to think of something to make sure this day is meaningful. Maybe go out for lunch and shop till I drop since kids are not with me. It's something I won't get to do on usual days :)

I also need to make sure I get a birthday cake so my kids can sing to me again tonight and blow the candles with me. I am so looking forward to that :)

Goodie bags for her friends... I told her 'mummy made this for you so you can give to your friends on your birthday. It's your present to your friends'.

Then she stared at me, wide eyed and smiled, and then hugged and kissed me and said 'you did this for me????? thank you mummy'.

She received a card signed by all her friends and a cute little birthday present from her headmistress.

As parents are not allowed in school, the teachers helped with the photo taking and making sure the kids had a fun time.. thank you teachers :-).
