Can anyone please recommend me what's the best method for storing breast milk in the freezer?
I have 8 Avent containers and 4 Avent 9oz bottles and they have all been used up. I need to get more containers for storing breast milk and not sure what's reliable, useful or efficient.
Can someone out there please help recommend me something good?

I used BPA free bottles, bought from one of the IOI Mall's baby shop. I wish I could pass it to you, I didn't even get a chance to use it after I made up my mind to stay at home!:)

Alice, sell to me la :-), I won't mind if they are new. Can ask my husband to get it from you since we live nearby.
I have 12 new BPA free bottles and a few used Farlin brand bottles. Neah~! Just give it to you, in return you just treat me the confinement 'vinegar braised pork leg' or 'chicken wine' on Zach's fullmoon, hehe... those are my favourite!;)
Tomorrow before 8.30am or after 8pm will be fine(In between we normally 'balik kg' to my mom's house)! I'll send u my address to your email.^-^

Good bout bottles is u can reuse it. But you will need more bottles if u fully bf and returning to work.

lyncpf513, thanks for the links. Some frens recommended the plastic bags but I found them very fragile and troublesome but they are cheap. Very likely I will just get more bottles and hopefully I have space to store them as my freezer is now filled with meat!
The cheapest way is using plastic bag. After you express it, you put in plastic bag, like those you make those long ice-cream pop. Make it rectangular n tie it with rubberband n label it. A few moms also used this way. Bottles, if you hv also helps, but bottles do take a lot of space. Storage bags can also work.

As for me, I used those microwaveable plastic food containers. I like them as they can be stacked, are firm to hold if I need to express milk directly by squeezing the breast or even to tadah the milk that leaks from the other breast when I'm expressing from one breast. People may say about the BPA, but I don't think it's a big deal becos in an sns for mums website, someone working in the plastic industry had mentioned that the amount of BPA that may leak (that also if it leaks) is too, too negligable to cause any harm.
Actually if you express daily and have a lot to store, it is advisable to use good quality breastmilk storage bags from Medela or Avent and the likes.
My freezer isn't very big but I used to store 50 packs and more easily in a very small compartment because they can be stacked and stand upright once frozen which takes up very little space.
It is not recommended to use normal plastic or ziplock bags as they do not protect the quality of breastmilk from deteriorating as the plastic materials are different from the better grade plastic used in leading brands breastmilk storage bags.
Also the typical plastic and ziplock bags are NOT Sterilized!!
